Marzipan Cake

The Marzipan Cake is easy to bake and it is very light, sweet and with a distinctive taste of marzipan, it is covered with a fine layer of chocolate. This cake is ideal for morning or afternoon tea.


7 eggs

1 marzipan or almond paste

3 large orange rinds

1 cup triple sec

1 tbsp of almond extract

2 oz dark semi sweet chocolate

2 hand full chopped walnuts


Blend in robot coupe by adding marzipan slowly, plus orange rind. Pour into marzipan mixture and blend until smooth. Bake at 375-400 for ½ hour or until done. Melt the chocolate and cover top of the cake, then cover again with chopped walnuts, leave to cool.
